Portland’s best locally-owned, independent, pet store, is looking for great people to join our team.

As a Customer Service Cashier at Pets on Broadway, you are the first person to say hello when a customer walks through the door and the last smile a customer sees on their way out. You maintain a fast-pace, getting pet-parents through the line and out the door quickly while making sure they get outstanding service, an attentive ear, and every need met.

You’ll answer lingering product questions, make a complicated return look easy, and graciously help customers out to their car.

You are genuinely excited about finding just the right product for customers, and your energy and enthusiasm are infectious. You love helping people, and people love being helped by you!

At the end of a long day behind the register you feel the satisfaction of knowing you made a difference in the lives of a ton of pets — and the lives of their humans.

If you have an outgoing, welcoming personality, lots of hustle and energy, and enthusiasm about working with the public, you should apply! Pet experience isn’t a prerequisite — we’re mostly interested in hard working people who thrive as part of a very busy team.

You’ll make a decent living. We start at $12 and go up depending on experience and personality. You can get a raise every six months or if you take on new responsibility.

You’ll be able to take care of yourself. We pay for 70% of your full coverage Kaiser health care for Full-Time employees, give you a hand with things like gym memberships, and supplement your choice to ride a bike, ride the bus, or run to work.
